Planned Giving . . .
define your legacy
Charitable giving is an important consideration for many people. When giving is planned, it can be a powerful way to affirm your values and priorities and leave a lasting legacy.
As you organize your estate planning, please consider including the Front Door. The Front Door has been serving the needs of the disadvantaged in the Greater Nashua area since 1987. Our longevity and strength have been derived from adherence to our mission of offering support and services to assist individuals and families transition from crisis to self-sufficiency. Our programs have evolved to reflect the changing needs of our community and continue to focus on addressing the root causes of poverty and homelessness. The Front Door's core values encompass dignity, respect, compassion for all people and a belief that through education, every person can grow and succeed.
Your planned gift will help secure and shape the future of the Front Door Agency and provide support beyond your lifetime.
Some of Your Options
Bequest - Cash, securities, real estate, or personal property can all be given to charity through a well-planned will.
Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust – Irrevocable trust that provides income based on the value of the property donated. The annuity trust pays a fixed income based on the value of assets at the time the trust is created, while the unitrust provides a fluctuating income based on a fixed percentage of the trust’s annual value.
Charitable Lead Trust – Provides income for charitable purposes for a designated period of time – typically 5, 10, 15, or 20 years.
Charitable Gift Annuity – One can make a gift to a charity and receive fixed annual payments for life. An income tax deduction is allowed for a portion of the amount transferred.
Life Insurance – An arrangement in which a donor gives a life insurance policy to the charity. The cash value of that gift is tax deductible, as are any future premiums the donor may opt to pay on that policy.
Retirement Plans – Whether it’s a company retirement plan, a private fund such as an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), or a combination of the two, an individual can designate a charity as the final beneficiary of any remaining funds which the donor or loved ones do not use.
Taking the Next Step
