Provides safe, subsidized housing and supportive services to homeless mothers ages 18-35 and their children, while giving them the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to reach and maintain self-sufficiency.
Assists low income families with basic needs such as shelter and heat. Through rental assistance, utility intervention, security deposit loans, and the revolving mortgage loan fund, we ensure our families secure permanent housing.
Provides financial assistance with basic necessities such as medication and transportation. The Holiday/Santa Fund Program and Denise Aussant Taylor Food Pantry are also under the umbrella of CARE.
A series of weekly sessions offered several times per year. They are available to anyone living or working in the community. Topics include: Personal budgeting, savings & credit report management, etc.
Since the Front Door became incorporated 25 years ago, it has offered an “Adopt-a-Family” Holiday Program for those in need of assistance during the holidays with food, clothing, toys and gifts. In 1996, the Front Door became a designated administrator of The Telegraph’s Santa Fund.
