Transitional Housing . . .
changing lives . . . one family at a time

   NORWELL HOUSE
  • What we do: We believe that every person should have the opportunity to make a better life for themselves and their children. Through our transitional housing program, we offer young mothers the opportunity to overcome crisis and work towards a brighter future for their family.

This two-year, life altering program provides disadvantaged women ages 18-35, and their children, with an appropriate environment to live and the resources to begin making permanent life changes resulting in self-sufficiency.  Participation in some type of higher educational program is the mandated foundation for this program.

  • Phase I - The Norwell Home: Phase I is the entry point for young mothers and their children. The Norwell Home provides subsidized housing for up to eight families who live together with 24-hour supervision.
  • Phase II: Phase II is available for any client who successfully completes Phase I and has adhered to all program rules.  The program consists of families living in individual apartments with a housing contract between the family and the agency.
